Personal Work samples

As I took Science ACE for term 2, I had to do some "additional work".  I had to create a pamphlet, providing information about synthetic diamonds. Also, I had to do a book review on a book related to Fictional Science. The book is titled " The Time Machine". 

It is about a Time Traveller who had finally finished work on his time machine, and it rocketed him into the future. When the machine stopped, in the year 802,701 AD, he found himself in a paradisiacal world of small humanoid creatures called Eloi. They were frail and peaceful, and gave him fruit to eat. He explored the area, but when he returned to where he landed,  he found that his time machine was gone. He suspected that it was in the pedestal, but he did not manage to pry it open. In the night, he began to catch glimpses of strange white ape-like creatures the Eloi call Morlocks

Meanwhile, he saved one of the Eloi , Weena, from drowning, and she befriended him. The Time Traveller finally worked up enough courage to go down into the world of Morlocks, who were believed to live underground, to try to retrieve his time machine. He had a tough battle with the Morlocks, but ultimately they chased him out of their realm. He took Weena to the Palace of Green Porcelain, which turned out to be a museum. There, he found  matches, some camphor, and a lever he could use as a weapon. That night, through a giant wood, he accidentally started a fire. Many Morlocks die in the fire and Weena was killed. The exhausted Time Traveller returns to the pedestal to find that it had already been pried open. He sprang onto the machine and whizzed into the future.

The Time Traveller made several more stops and encountered many more beasts and obstacles . He then returned, exhausted, to the present time. The next day, he left again to the future, but this time he never returned.
